Dear O’Hare CrossFit Family,
Back in August of 2017, I had the wonderful opportunity to become a coach at O’Hare CrossFit. And while I love every second of being a coach here at OCF, December will be my last month. As some of you may know, I am currently in the process of applying to Physical Therapy school so much of my time outside of the gym has been dedicated to that. In order to better prepare myself for physical therapy school, I feel that it is in my best interest to pursue a job in the physical therapy field until I hopefully go to school next fall.
First off, I want to thank Angelo for taking a chance on me and continually pushing me to be the best coach I can be. What you’ve done for me is incredible and no amount of words can truly describe how thankful I am. I want to thank Becca, Rocio, and Susie for helping me when I first started and for all the advice over time. You guys picked me up when I was down and became my first friends at the gym. I want to thank Jon, Sally, and Andrew for being awesome people and coaches as well. What I did not know walking into OCF was how much love the coaches had for each other and I am grateful to be a part of that.
Lastly, I want to thank all of you, the members of the OCF Family. I had no idea what kind of place I was walking into when I first started, and boy am I glad I did. Every single one of you is incredible. I have made so many friendships through my time here at OCF and that is what makes this decision so difficult. I will miss coming to the gym and seeing everyone. I will miss the events outside of the gym when we are all not in sweaty gym clothes. I will miss each and every single one of you. The memories, lessons, and friendships are things I will hold onto the rest of my life.
If there is any good news out of this it is the fact that I will still be around until next fall. So don’t be afraid to reach out so we can go get some tacos or pizza. Or hopefully, I can drop in for a workout every now and then. O’Hare CrossFit is a very special place and I am thankful to be a part of it. It has been a blessing to me and I know it’ll continue to work wonders for everyone that walks through that door.
I love you all,
